Homebound Meal Delivery
The Homebound Meal Delivery program provides nutritious meals to Seniors who are at least 60 years of age and who are home bound or disabled and cannot come to the center for lunch. Meals are delivered daily and if clients request, frozen meals will be delivered on Fridays for the weekend. A referral is needed to qualify for the program. Referrals can come from Doctors, Hospitals, Social Workers, Caregivers, Therapists, Family Members, Neighbors, and friends. A home visit must occur to evaluate the need. If you would like more information you can contact the Senior Center of Boulder City Meals on Wheels Coordinator, Mary Mason at (702)293-3320 ext 13. Doctors, Hospitals, and Social Workers can fax a referral form to the center at (702)293-5628. The program is partially funded through a grant from the State of Nevada’s Division of Aging Services (DAS).

Things to remember if you are already receiving Meals on Wheels: · Call the Center by 10:00am if you will not be home from 11am – 12:30pm to receive your delivery. · Put pets in another room. · Leave the door unlocked if you cannot get to the door to open for the driver. · The driver must see you. Meals on Wheels delivery is also a wellness check. · Ask the driver for an envelope to make your donations for your meal. When you are ready, just give the envelope back to the driver. · Suggested donation is $3 per meal. |
